What means pesto? It is a word used for many recipes, made with  ingredients simply beaten in a mortar and blended. Pesto Genovese is the original traditional sauce recipe of Genoa, widespread in all the Liguria. It is a very easy recipe, made with basil, pine seeds and pecorino cheese, perfumed and suitable as sauce for many cold dishes, first courses as trofie, testaroli and also spaghetti.
