pick up tomatoes from water that will be used for canning |

| dip tomatoes into cold water, you'll peel them better |
peel tomatoes gently |

| prepare a great pot with a basket for steaming with abundant water |
put peeled tomatoes, while hot, into pots, in the meantime let the water boil |

| add the water used for boiling the tomatoes |
close the pots |

| simmer pots for 5 minutes and let cool in the water |
